Raspberry leaf has been traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to prepare the uterus for childbirth and to relieve symptoms of diarrhea and dysmenorrhea. It may be gargled to relieve minor inflammations associated with bleeding gums, sore throat, mouth ulcers and tonsillitis.
How to use: Infuse 1 teabag (4 g) in 250 mL (one cup) of boiling water, and steep for 10-15 minutes before removing the tea bag. Adults - drink 2 to 3 cups daily. There are no restrictions on the duration of use.
Precautions: Always read the label. Follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional. Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy. Not for use during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3 to 6 years or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years.
About this Brand: Born from a background and knowledge of herbs, Hilde Hemmes is the creative and inspirational energy behind her family-owned company, Herbal Supplies Pty Ltd. As Australia’s leading therapeutic herbal tea manufacturer, Hilde and her family take pride in being independent, competitive, flexible and fully integrated, and their commitment to herbalism is still as strong as it was when the company was founded in 1985.
Over the years Hilde has collected many rare, out-of-print books on herbs and their uses, and has discovered many valuable recipes and ancient formulae that may otherwise have been forgotten. She made a significant contribution to the Australian herbal industry as a pioneer of Swedish Bitters (a multi-purpose tonic) and the herb Epilobium parviflorum (also known as ProstaLobium® ) which has traditionally been used in western herbal medicine to maintain/support prostate health.
Ingredients: Active ingredient: Each tea bag contains Rubus idaeus (Raspberry) Leaf Dry 4 g.
